DESI Career Training Center

The DESI Career Training Center currently provides employment and training services to out-of-school, low-income youth between the ages of eighteen and twenty-one in Mobile County, Alabama. The training program is tailored in a way that enables participants to become economically self-sufficient.

DESI provides a variety of services to eligible youth, including General Equivalency Diploma(GED) preparation training, occupational skills training, employability skills training, job placement assistance, assistance enrolling into a postsecondary institute, and assistance enrolling in an advanced training program. Our program is designed to allow participants to select the services that best suit their individual needs.

DESI has a number of partnerships and linkages in Mobile County and relies on these relationships to provide suitable referrals. We continue to aggressively identify additional partners to assist us in meeting our planned enrollments. DESI has increased outreach efforts and has partnered with the following organizations:
